Report: Morais a Candidate to Take Charge of Persepolis
TEHRAN – Former Sepahan coach Jose Morais is a candidate to take charge of Iran’s Persepolis football team, media reports suggest.
Persepolis parted ways with Juan Carlos Garrido following poor results in the Iran Professional League (IPL) and AFC Champions League Elite.
Karim Bagheri has been named as the club’s interim coach.
Iranian media have reported that Buriram head coach Osmar Vieira and ex-Sepahan coach Jose Morais are shortlisted to replace the Spanish coach.
Morais left Sepahan in early November and is closer to Persepolis’s hot seat as a free agent coach.
