Iranian Students Win Innovation Gold Medals in UK

TEHRAN -- Students from Sama primary school in Najafabad in central Iran have won the gold medal for invention in Britain.
The international and specialized exhibition of inventions was held with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIIPA), universities and scientific research organizations and centers related to inventors, hosted by Kingston University in London on September 25-27.
The competitions were held face-to-face with the participation of 32 countries and the presentation of 285 researches and inventions in various fields. 
In addition to Britain, France, Japan, Romania, Canada, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Poland, Taiwan, Thailand, Croatia, Cyprus and Iran participated in the competitions.
Iranian inventors and researchers in various fields like nanotechnology, biotechnology, electronic engineering, astronomy, food industry, mechanical engineering, medical engineering, pharmaceutical, energy, environment and health also participated in two student levels with seven teams and won six gold medals and five silver medals and several special awards from prestigious universities and centers.
Amirhussein Arab, Soheil Safi, Reza Shafiyee, Kiaresh Mo’eendoust and Abolfazl Davoudi won the gold medals.
