Zeinab Norouzi Wins Gold in Asian Rowing Championships
TEHRAN – Zeinab Norouzi of Iran won a gold medal in the 2024 Asian Rowing Championships on Saturday.
She claimed the gold with a time of 08:02.721 in the lightweight single sculls.
Uzbekistan’s Malika Tagmatova and Hong Kong Leung Wing Wun won the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
Fatemeh Mojallal also won a silver medal in the event.
She came second with a time of 07:50.701 in the single sculls.
China’s Wenxian Zhang won the gold with 07:47.782 and the bronze medal went to Hong Kong’s Wing Yan Winne Hung with 07:56.583.
Iran’s Zeinab Norouzi in lightweight single sculls and Iran’s women’s quadruple sculls had previously won a gold and a silver medal, respectively.
The competition is being held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan from October 10 to 14.
