TEHRAN – Leader of the Islamic 
Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei participated in the dust-cleaning ritual of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad. 
The Leader also visited the burial place of the late Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi.
The dust-cleaning ceremony is a religious ceremony held in sacred Muslim places. The ritual includes cleaning, sweeping, washing, and perfume-spraying of special places like the holy tombs, mosques, the martyrs’ graves, Ka’aba in Mecca, and shrines.
