TEHRAN -- Leader of the
Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said here Wednesday Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Zionist regime disrupted the American policy scheme in West Asia.
“The historic event of Al-Aqsa Flood is against the Zionist regime but in fact it is aimed at de-Americanization,” Ayatollah Khamenei told hundreds of Basij volunteers on the occasion of the National Basij Week.
“The incident literally managed to disrupt the table of American policies in the region, and God willing, if this storm continues, it will wipe out the whole table,” the Leader noted.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the “Al-Aqsa Flood” will not subside, adding the “important and unique incident” has brought the goals closer and made the way easier.
“The Zionist regime, whose nerves were torn apart by this storm, started bombing hospitals, schools, and people’s populations and killing children in order to extinguish it,” he said.
Ayatollah Khamenei touched on the failure of the Zionist regime in all its goals in the war on Gaza, saying no degree of anger and brutality can make up for the failure.
“The barbaric and cruel actions that the Zionist regime committed in its crimes against the people of Gaza, not only destroyed the reputation of the regime, but also that of the United States. It took away the reputation of several renowned European countries, and also ruined the reputation of Western culture and civilization,” the Leader said.
“The culture and civilization of the West is the one that when 5,000 children are killed with phosphorus bombs, the regime of a certain Western country says Israel is defending itself. Is this self-defense? This is the Western culture which has been discredited,” he added.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said “killing and displacing people, including women and children, and building settlements by destroying Palestinian houses and farms were among the continuous crimes of the invaders in the past 75 years, which they committed all those crimes in an intensive manner in 50 days”.
Ayatollah Khamenei touched on the failure of the U.S. plan to change the political geography of West Asia.
“A few years ago, in the case of Lebanon, they said that they were looking for the formation of a ‘new Middle East’ based on their own illegitimate needs and interests, but of course they failed,” he said.
“America sought to destroy Hezbollah, but after the 33-day war, Hezbollah became more than 10 times stronger than before.”
America’s failure to swallow Iraq through the creation of an American government and the rule of an American general or an American civilian leader and even an Iraqi affiliated with the United States in the post-occupation period was another manifestation of the botched “new Middle East” plan.
“In an Iraq that they sought to swallow, the cores of resistance have now joined the Palestinian cause,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The Leader also cited the failure of the Americans to dominate Syria through its proxies such as Daesh and Al-Nusra.
“Another plan of theirs in the new Middle East was to end the Palestinian issue in favor of the usurping regime so that nothing called Palestine remains, but the treacherous plan of the two governments that had been approved before was not realized, and today’s situation and progress of Palestine, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other resistance groups cannot be compared to 20 years ago,” he said.
“Of course, the political geography of the region is changing, but not for the benefit of America, but for the benefit of the resistance front,” the leader added.
Ayatollah Khamenei enumerated the characteristics of the new and emerging map of West Asia.
“The first characteristic of the new West Asia is de-Americanization, which means the negation of America’s dominance over the region, which, of course, does not mean cutting off the countries’ political relations with the United States, but rather the loss of power and the political dominance of the United States, and as we can see, some countries that are 100 percent subordinate are also distancing themselves from the United States.”
Disruption of false and imposed dualities in the region is another feature of the new West Asia, which Ayatollah Khamenei cited.
“The dualities of Arab and non-Arab, Shia and Sunni and the myth of the Shia crescent have lost hue, a clear example of which is the case of Palestine where during the Al-Aqsa Storm and before that, Arab and non-Arab Shias gave the most help to the Palestinians,” he said.
“In contrast to those imposed dualities, a new duality called resistance and surrender has ruled the region, and today the current of resistance, which means not surrendering to coercion, extravagance and American interference is a clear current in the region,” he added.
Ayatollah Khamenei said as another feature of the new and developing West Asia is that the Palestinian issue is moving toward a solution, “with the establishment of Palestinian sovereignty in all Palestinian lands, by the grace of God”.
The Leader touched on the internationally acceptable, civilized and logical plan proposed by the Islamic Republic of Iran for Palestine, namely a referendum in the territories.
“Except for the occupiers, all Palestinians, whether they are residents of Palestine or neighboring countries, camps and other areas, should be able to give their opinion on the administration of Palestine.
“Of course, some say that the Zionist regime will not submit this plan, but this will must be imposed on it, and if the plan is followed - that God willing will be followed - and if the cores of resistance follow their will and determination seriously, this goal will be achieved.”
Ayatollah Khamenei also touched on the attribution of a false idea to the Islamic Republic of Iran by some people in the world about throwing Jews and Zionists into the sea to solve the Palestinian issue.
“The view of the Islamic Republic is not to throw anyone into the sea, but establishing a government favored by the Palestinian people which should decide about those people.”
