TEHRAN -- Known for her stellar career, renowned Iranian actress Parvaneh Masoumi made her mark with her debut in the short film ‘The Journey’ in 1971.
She was also a familiar face on TV, starring in popular series like ‘Prophet Joseph’, ‘Imam Ali (AS)’ and ‘The Honeymoon’, iFilm reported.
With a career spanning several decades, she showcased her talent in numerous films, including ‘Heavy Rain’ (1972), ‘Captain Khorshid’ (1986), and ‘The Resident of the Wooden House’ (2012).
Her exceptional performances earned her multiple awards, including Best Actress for ‘Chrysanthemums’ (1984) and ‘Robab’s Dowry’ (1987).
Masoumi passed away at the age of 79 on November 27, succumbing to a lung infection.
