Iran Steps Gloriously Into 47th Year of Islamic Revolution

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

The Iranian masses again rewrote history on Monday as tens of millions of them, of all age groups – babies in prams to the elderly in wheelchairs – took to the streets throughout the length and breadth of the country to mark the 46th anniversary of the triumph of the Islamic Revolution.
Heavy snowfalls of the past few days and freezing temperatures failed to prevent the people from celebrating the stepping into the 47th glorious year of the grassroots movement that ended in 1979 domestic despotism and US hegemony.
As usual, this year’s Bahman 22 rallies saw effigies of Uncle Sam and the Zionist war criminals go up in flames as the vociferous chants of God’s Majesty (Allah-o-Akbar), coupled with slogans of “death the US” and “death to Israel” rent the air and spilled across Iran’s land and marine borders into the neighbouring countries.
Following Saturday night’s memorable speech to the nation by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, ruling out talks with Washington, President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian in his address to Tehran’s multimillion strong rally from Azadi (Freedom) Square, referred to the futility of negotiations with the US.
As is clear by the policies of the US regimes, whether Democrat or Republican, sanctions upon illegal sanctions mean the enemy is after mischief and not any compromise.
The Islamic Republic which over the past four-and-a-half decades has blunted every American plot including Saddam’s 8-year war in the 1980s, will never retreat a single centimeter from its objectives, no matter what criminal measures its archenemies adopt in addition to the current economic terrorism.
Over 200 foreign correspondents covered yesterday’s rallies and though the enemy media horns, as usual, tried to downplay the dedication and sheer numbers of the marchers, to the analysts, politicians, and policy-makers the realities in the Islamic Republic of Iran are crystal clear.
They very well know, even if they do not admit, that it is suicide and self-destruction to confront Iran militarily.
Its increasing means of defence, spectacular progress in science and technology, and unflinching steadfastness of the people, have as the base complete trust in God’s Promise, firm faith in the teachings of Islam, and full confidence in the farsighted and foresighted Leadership of the nation.
Did not Father of the Islamic Revolution say: “Our Revolution is explosion of light”?
