Gen. Salami: Israel, Allies ‘Crumbled Together’
TEHRAN -- The chief commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says the “stunning” defeat inflicted on Israel at the hands of Palestinian resistance fighters left the occupying regime and its allies “crumbled together.”
“Their defeat in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was one of the most unforgettable, stunning and unprecedented defeats that crumbled the U.S., the UK and Israel together,” Major General Hussein Salami told a summit in the holy city of Mashhad on Thursday.
“The United States bears responsibility for today’s developments in Palestine as it has been trying for years to portray the occupying regime as an angel of democracy and create a positive image for them.”
Salami said the U.S. is seeking to resuscitate the occupying regime of Israel after its humiliating defeat.
“In the Muslim world, the Zionists are like an unwanted foreign object that has been implanted in this region and start new bleedings every time and again,” he added.
