Trump’s Conviction Irrelevant, We Want Real Justice
By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer
Remember Donald Trump. A dotard and a terrorist, who during his four years as the US president committed crimes against humanity both at home and abroad, including the unpardonable murder of the anti-terrorist icon, Qasim Soleimani, and his colleague in the fight against terrorism, Iraq’s Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
Reports from the US say this criminal has been convicted for trying to overturn the results of the 2020 elections in Georgia, become inmate number P01135809 of Fulton County Jail, and then been released after posting a 200,000 dollar bond and accepting bail conditions.
It is the first such case for a US president, and whether or not Trump finally goes to jail, this will not be materialization of justice, since his punishment is not for his prime crime, which does not need any trial or court hearing.
In other words, as far as the people of Iran and Iraq are concerned, his mugshot which his equally criminal comrade-in-crimes, John Bolton, who has parted ways, told CNN “Trumps looks like a thug”, is of no relevance to us.
True, some US political elites have called their former president “super villain” and demanded that the Republican Party bar this felon from contesting the 2024 presidential elections, but this neither means justice nor fulfills our just demands of atonement for the 2nd January 2020 act of terrorism at Baghdad International Airport.
The judicial authorities in Iran and Iraq are busy exploring ways for bringing to justice the rogue Trump, his State Secretary the ruffian Mike Pompeo, his War Minister the rascal Mark Esper, and all other roughneck rowdies involved in the assassination of Qasim Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
Trump is a racist to his core and on his heinous head rests the innocent blood of many Hispanics and black-skinned American citizens.
It is indeed a travesty of justice that the judicial department of the US has not booked Trump for the deaths of Hispanics, including children who were subjected to ethnic terrorism at the Mexican border in 2018, and the white policemen’s frequent shooting and suffocating to death of Afro-Americans during his presidency.
Again, this is irrelevant to us in Iran and Iraq in view of the fact that the crimes committed by Trump and his team of terrorists against us are greater in magnitude than his attempt to overturn the Georgia elections, his inciting of riots at the Capitol Hill, his stealing of classified papers from the White House, and in all the 91 criminal cases so far filed against him.
The onus now is on us to press ahead with our own charges against Trump rather than feeling elated at his felony and his widely-circulated mugshot of Fulton County Jail.
Insha Allah (God Willing), justice will most surely take its due course against the culprits whose hands are stained with the innocent blood of martyrs, and Trump’s inevitable fate should serve as a lesson for all demagogues, whether in the US or anywhere around the world, toying with the idea of provoking the Islamic Republic of Iran and threatening its legal, legitimate, and logical interests.
