Dubbing Master Hamid Manouchehri Passes Away

Manouchehri, an illustrious Iranian figure in the world of radio and dubbing, has passed away at the age of 81, leaving behind a remarkable legacy.
On Wednesday, Manouchehri breathed his last at Shahram Hospital in Tehran, succumbing to a hip fracture and pulmonary disease, iFilm reported.
Born in Tehran in 1941, Manouchehri’s journey into the realm of entertainment began at the tender age of 16 when he first explored the world of radio performances.
A year later, under the mentorship of Houshang Kazemi, he delved into the art of dubbing, setting the stage for his extraordinary career.
In 1963, with the invaluable support of Nasserollah Mohtasham, Manouchehri joined Radio Iran, where he would become an integral part of the broadcasting landscape.
His talents flourished, and in 1972, he assumed the directorship of the children’s radio program, attracting young audiences with his storytelling.
Throughout the years until 1978, Manouchehri continued to leave his mark on the industry, directing numerous other programs that became favorites among listeners.
In addition to his dubbing career, he also graced the silver screen with his presence, shining in roles in films such as ‘Broken Fist and Gun’, ‘Devil’s Associates’, ‘Mission’, ‘The Second Face of the Fall’ and ‘Owls’.
His artistic versatility extended to the small screen as well, where he made lasting impressions in TV series like ‘One of These Days’, ‘The Story of a Life’, and the widely acclaimed ‘The Enigma of the Shah’.
The impact of Manouchehri’s talent was not confined to his contributions in dubbing and radio alone. In the series ‘The Enigma of the Shah’, aired by iFilm English TV, he masterfully portrayed the character of Ayatollah Kashani, proving his prowess in acting as well.
