ISAAR Film Festival Wraps Up
TEHRAN – The ISAAR International Film Festival has wrapped up after screening movies from across the world.
A closing ceremony of was held in the holy city of Mashhad, with cultural and cinematic figures in attendance.
The Film and Screenplay Festival is an artistic and culture-building effort for new connections that have deep roots in Islamic culture and is a move towards realizing our own achievements to reach new horizons, the organizers believe.
More than 1,200 films and screenplays have been submitted to the secretariat of the festival. Some 220 of the works are screenplays while the remaining are short films, video clips, animations, dramas and documentaries.
Films from Lebanon, the U.S., Yemen, Pakistan, India, Iraq, Algeria, France, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Italy, Syria, Malaysia, Spain and Iran are on screen at the festival.
Mashhad in northeast of Iran hosted the ISAAR festival, on May 19-24.
