Italy’s Cefalu Festival to Screen ‘Parisa’
TEHRAN -- Iranian film ‘Parisa’ will be competing at the Festival del cinema Cefalù in Italy.
In its sixth international screening, Muhammad-Reza Rahmani’s fourth directorial experience will represent Iran at the 2023 edition of the festival.
“Parisa is a young attractive girl who works as a model for cosmetics brands. However, an anonymous person pours acid on her face resulting her to lose her beauty and one of her eyes,” a synopsis of the film reads.
Abbas Ghazali, Bahareh Afshari, Tarlan Parvaneh, Hamid Goudarzi, Shaqayeq Farahani and Maral Farjad star in the film.
The Cefalù Film Festival aims to promote cinema in a spirit of freedom and dialogue.
The festival organizes retrospectives and tributes to prominent personalities, as a contribution to a better knowledge of the history of cinema.
The upcoming edition of the festival will run in September 2023.
