Goods Transport Via North-South Corridor Grows 360%

TEHRAN – The chief executive of the Khazar Sea Shipping Lines Kambiz Jahanbani said on Saturday that since the activation of the maritime sector of the North-South Corridor in the Caspian Sea, the corridor has witnessed a 360 percent growth in the transportation of goods.
Speaking in an interview with IRNA, Kambiz Jahanbani added that the Khazar Sea Shipping Lines and other shipping lines are seeking marketing to attract export and transit goods aimed at completing its fleet capacity.
Presently, export-bound goods are easily loaded by the company, he said, adding, “We do not face any storage of export goods at northern Iranian ports.”
With the drastic planning and effective measures taken at the Khazar Sea Shipping Lines, the maritime sector of the North-South Corridor has been launched at the Caspian Sea, so that North-South Corridor has witnessed a dramatic 360 percent growth in transportation of goods by the company.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) is ready to transport goods from Asian countries and other regional countries to the Russian Federation and Commonwealth Independent States (CIS) within the framework of the North-South Corridor in the best form possible, the CEO of Khazar Sea Shipping Lines added.
