Iranian Filmmaker to Judge at Brussels Festival
TEHRAN -- The 2023 edition of the Brussels Short film Festival (BSFF) in Belgium has selected Iranian filmmaker Farnoush Samadi as a jury member.
The award-winning Iranian film director will judge at the 26th edition of the Belgium event.
The French actress Lucie Jeanne, Iranian-Swedish actress and director Bahar Pars and French composer Antoine Wielemans have also been picked to the jury at this year’s edition of the fest.
Born in 1983, Samadi is an Iranian film director who has so far made a number of successful works such as ‘Gaze’, ‘The Silence’, ‘Disappearance’ and ‘More Than Two Hours’.
In 2018, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars) appointed Samadi as a member.
The BSFF describes itself an exhibition intended for lovers of cinema, both audience and professionals, aiming to promote and circulate short films and to generate contacts between audience, young directors and professionals.
This year’s edition of the event is slated for April 26-May 06, 2023.
