North Korea’s testing of its new nuclear deterrent is sending shivers down the spine of warmongering US, whose militarization of South Korea has disturbed the peace of mind of three generations of people in the divided Korean Peninsula for the past 73 years.
In view of the recent provocative maneuvers by the US and its clients in Seoul of state-of-the-art warplanes, submarines, missiles, tanks and armed-to-the-teeth soldiers rehearsing for what appears to be an invasion, Pyongyang has no other choice but to rapidly upgrade means of defence.
North Korea, which frequently tests a variety of state-of-the-art armaments including intercontinental missiles capable of reaching the US, has actually safeguarded not just its sovereignty but the peace and stability of the people of South Korea as well.
If not for upgrading its means of defence, the US whose policy of sanctions has miserably failed, would have long invaded and destroyed towns and cities north of the 39th parallel.
In other words, since Washington does not allow the people of the two Koreas to sit together and resolve their differences for the eventual unity of the peninsula, it could be said that North Korea has been successful in preventing any clashes or war in the region.
The latest weapon in Pyongyang’s arsenal was Saturday’s testing of a second underwater nuclear attack drone, two weeks after testing the first such vehicle that is capable of unleashing a “radioactive tsunami.”
Dubbed “Haeil-2”, the “underwater nuclear attack drone cruised 1,000 kilometers of simulated underwater distance,” according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA),
The KCNA added that “the test warhead accurately detonated underwater. The test perfectly proved the reliability of the underwater strategic weapon system and its fatal attack ability.”
The weapon has the ability to stealthily infiltrate into operational waters and make a super-scale radioactive tsunami to destroy naval striker groups and major operational ports of the enemy.
This was Pyongyang’s latest response to the provocative joint US-South Korea military drills, which featured at least one American nuclear-capable B-52H strategic bomber.
Nations of the free world should always be on guard against the devilish designs of the Americans and should spare no efforts to upgrade their means of defence.
The US is the threat to peace all over the world. Its latest provocative move is the sending of a nuclear-powered submarine, equipped with some 150 tomahawk 2,500 km range cruise missiles, to the Middle East.
