IME Weekly Trade Tops $960mn

TEHRAN – THE Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 3,535,773 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of nearly $960 million were traded, posting growths of 79.4% and 14.8% in volume and value of trades compared with the week before that.
The IME added that on its metals and minerals trading floor, over 2,823,384 tonnes of commodities, including,304,018 tones of cement, 1,045,000 tonnes of iron ore, 378,506 tonnes of steel, 165,000 tonnes of zinc, 86,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 9,650 tonnes of aluminum, 4,000 tonnes of copper, 1,500 tonnes of cast iron, 310 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 12 kg of gold bars with total value of $606 million were traded in the last week.
The report said, over 506,212 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities, including 172,778 tonnes of bitumen, 107,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 106,247 tonnes of polymeric products, 41,056 tonnes of lube cut, 42,880 tonnes of chemicals, 15,300 tonnes of sulfur, 4,161 tonnes of base oil, 2,570 tonnes of petroleum products, 530 tonnes of insulation and 140 tonnes of feedstocks with total value of 333 million were traded on the IME’s trading halls.
The IME also traded within the same week 206,177 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
