Iranian Animation Top Rated Globally
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian
animation ‘Dolphin Boy’ has so far been screened in five countries.
The animated piece produced by Owj Arts and Media Organization is now among the top ten Iranian films being screened worldwide.
‘Dolphin Boy’ was premiered in Russian cinemas in august and was well received by the audience.
The animation took two years of production.
The film which was previously planned to premiere at the 39th edition of Fajr Film Festival, hit big screens at Iranian cinemas from September 2022.
Mohammad-Amin Hamedani, the producer of the film told the media that the crew has also decided to produce a series version of ‘Dolphin Boy’.
Mohammad Kheirandish, the writer and director of ‘Dolphin Boy’ said it was translated into different languages including Russian, Turkish, Arabic and English.
The film is about a boy who survived a plane crash and was raised by dolphins. When he becomes a teenager he embarks on a journey to find his mother.
