Iran’s ‘Beyond the Wall’ Screened at Geneva Human Rights
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian movie ‘Beyond the Wall’ is scheduled to vie at the International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland.
The film directed and written by Vahid Jalilvand will represent Iran at the 21st edition of the event.
The film is about a blind man whose suicide attempt is interrupted by his building’s concierge who informs him of an escaped woman’s hideout in the building. It becomes the blind man’s goal to help her.
‘Beyond the Wall’ has gone on screen at some global events, including the Venice International Film Festival in Italy and the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada.
The FIFDH is one of the most important events dedicated to cinema and human rights. For 20 years, it has been held every year in the heart of Geneva, the international capital of human rights, in parallel with the main session of the UN Human Rights Council.
This year’s edition of the festival is slated for March 10-19.
