We are on the eve of the threshold of the 44th anniversary of the grand victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and ready to step into the 45th year of the grassroots movement of the Muslim people of Iran that rescued the country from domestic despotism and foreign hegemony.
The person who led the movement to a resounding triumph was a scholar of repute. He was also a foremost ascetic, a farsighted sage, and a descendant of the Almighty’s Last Messenger to mankind – on whose triumphant entry into his hometown Mecca after 8 years of exile God revealed the above Surah to describe the mood of the thousands who welcomed him and peacefully acknowledged Islam as the Divinely-decreed creed.
He was Ayatollah Seyyed Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini (RA), whom a grateful nation bestowed the title of “Imam” (Supreme Leader) – not to be confused with the Divinely-Designated Title of the Twelve Infallible Imams of the progeny of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA).
The Father of the Islamic Revolution was indeed a devoted servant of Prophet and the 12 Infallible Imams of his Blessed Household (Ahl al-Bayt), for whom love, respect and obedience is among the fundamental principles of faith as decreed by God in the holy Qur’an.
No wonder, when he returned to Iran after 15 years of exile, millions of Iranians greeted him at Tehran airport to usher in the Ten-Day-Dawn that culminated on February 11 in the triumph of the Islamic Revolution. It changed global equations and gave the message to the oppressed people worldwide that Islamic Iran is here to stay in order to inspire them to materialize their denied rights.
For a decade, Imam Khomeini guided the Iranian nation through the choppy waters of American and Zionist plots including the 8-year war imposed by Saddam of Baghdad’s repressive Ba’th minority regime. He then departed for his heavenly abode, confident that his able and efficient successor, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, will continue the path of the Prophet and the Infallible Imams for the benefit of the Iranians and world people.
Islamic Iran has since come a long way. It has mastered science and technology, true to the famous saying of the Prophet while pointing to his Iranian companion, Salman Farsi:
“If knowledge is to be found in the Pleiades, his people will acquire it.”
Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran is exploring outer space. It has spread the teachings of the Prophet’s Ahl al-Bayt all over the Planet, defeated the plots of Global Arrogance, inspired the people of the region and beyond to rise up for their rights, split the atom for peaceful purpose, and taken innovative strides in stem cell technology and medicine,
These giant steps for the progress of peace may not be to the liking of the enemies of Islam and their mercenaries including the Zionists and the Takfiris, but there is nothing the US and the reactionary regimes can do to stop the tidal wave of the Islamic Revolution generated by Imam Khomeini in 1979.
This means that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Revolution have a date with destiny, and despite the obstacles thrown in their way, are determined to march ahead.
Insha Allah (God Willing), the Promised Saviour of mankind, the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAWA) Last and Twelfth Heir, Imam Mahdi (AS) will reappear, along with Prophet Jesus (AS), to weed out corruption and oppression from the world by establishing the global government of peace, prosperity, and justice.
No doubt, Imam Khomeini, who had described the victory of the grassroots Islamic movement of the Iranian people as “Our Revolution was the burst of light”, had also said: “The US can’t do a damn thing”. Amen
The skeptics are asked to keep their eyes wide open for the grand millions- strong mass rallies the Iranian people are all set to stage in Tehran and throughout Iran on Saturday, February 11, 2023, as thanksgiving to God’s blessings for materialization of the goals and ideals of Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution.
