Iran Offers Aid to Quake-Hit Turkey and Syria
TEHRAN -- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Monday extended his condolences to his Turkish and Syrian counterparts over the most powerful earthquake in nearly a century that struck the two countries and killed over 2,300 people.
In separate messages to the presidents of Turkey and Syria, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Bashar al-Assad respectively, Raisi expressed Iran’s readiness to provide immediate relief aid to the two friendly countries hit by the earthquake that led to the loss of a considerable number of lives and huge damage to property.
