Iranian Cinematographer’s Work Shortlisted for ASC Awards
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian-French cinematographer Darius Khondji’s ‘Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths’ has won a nomination at the American Society of Cinematographers’ ASC Awards.
The 37th ASC Awards announced it nominations on Monday, with ‘Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths’ being among the films nominated in its feature category.
Khondji is additionally set to receive the ASC International Award during the 37th ASC Awards ceremony next March.
Khondji was nominated for an Oscar for Alan Parker’s ‘Evita’ (1997).
He collaborated with well-known directors, including David Fincher on ‘Se7en’, Jean-Pierre Jeunet on ‘Delicatessen’, and Josh and Benny Safdie on ‘Uncut Gems’.
He has recently won the Silver Frog and FIPRESCI awards at the EnergaCarmerimage Film Festival in Poland for his work on ‘Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths’ by Alejandro Inarritu.
The 37th ASC Awards will be handed out on March 5.
