Iranian, Kazakh Experts Discuss Persian Language Education

TEHRAN (IBNA) -- A meeting on the pathology of Persian language education and Iranology was held ‎in Kazakhstan which also considered the ways out of the current problems in this regard.‎
The event was organized by Iran’s Cultural Attaché to Kazakhstan in cooperation with Sa’di Foundation representative in that country.
The session was attended by Iran’s Cultural Attaché to Kazakhstan Ali-Akbar Talebi Matin and a number of Persian language instructors in Kazakhstan.
In this meeting, Talebi Matin said in a speech: “We are trying to provide immediate employment opportunities for Kazakh students of Iranology and Persian language through coordination with the officials of Kazakh scientific and cultural centers.
Aqmaral, one of the university instructors of the Persian language at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University provided information about the status of Persian language education at that university and appreciated the programs of Iran’s Cultural Attaché to Kazakhstan to improve the status of Persian, and encouraging more students to learn this language.
She said: “Holding the Persian Language Olympiad at two different levels, selecting the best students and the program for showing engaging and prominent Iranian films, which will soon be held at the Eurasian National University, are among the important activities of Iran’s Cultural Attache in our country. These programs create a suitable platform to attract students and make them interested to the Persian language.
The need to take consideration of teaching Persian language at the school level and to make students acquainted with the Persian language, as well as holding joint scientific and cultural programs with various faculties of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University were among the key topics raised in the meeting.
