Iran’s Kalhor Wins Bronze at 2022 World Taekwondo Championships

TEHRAN – Reza Kalhor of Iran has claimed a bronze medal in the -68kg category of the 2022 World Taekwondo Championships.
Kwon Do-yun stunned defending champion Bradly Sinden of Britain to capture gold at the Centro Acuático CODE Metropolitano.
Mehran Barkhordari of Iran had already won a bronze in the -80kg.
Barkhordari in the weight category of -80kgdefeated his Canadian rival in two rounds and advance to quarter-finals.
In quarterfinals, he overpowered Mongolia and advanced to the semi-final stage.
After defeating his South Korean rival in the semifinal stage, he secured the bronze medal.
The event was held in the presence of 755 athletes from 120 countries.
The 2022 World Taekwondo Championships is the 25th edition of the World Taekwondo Championships and is held in Guadalajara, Mexico from 13 to 20 November.
