Zionist Regime Adopts Lenient Policy for Shooting at Palestinians
AL-QUDS (Dispatches) – Al-Meezan Center for Human Rights says the Zionist regime has adopted a lenient policy for shooting at Palestinians.
The revelation was made following the shooting of Palestinian Mosab Nafl, 18, by Zionist troops. Nafl’s cousin was wounded in the incident in the Ramallah village of al-Mazraa al-Sharqiyeh.
The rights group described the occupying regime troops’ killing of the young Palestinian as an “extrajudicial field execution”, the likes of which are “supported by the highest political and military levels” in the occupied territories.
Researchers with the group said that the Palestinian youth was shot seven times with live ammunition in different parts of his body, including his heart.
Al-Meezan Centre renewed its call for the international community to put pressure on the Zionist regime to stop its crimes against the Palestinians, and implement international law. The rights group also called for the ICC to take seriously the Palestinian issue and the regime’s crimes against the people of occupied Palestine.
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas denounced the killing.
The Palestinian martyrs’ blood will be “a curse that haunts the Israeli occupying forces across Palestine,” Hamas said in a statement released on Sunday, adding that the Palestinian people will never rest until they have avenged their martyrs.
Hamas also paid tribute to the Palestinian youth for courageously facing the barbarism of the Zionist troops.
On Thursday alone, Zionist troops killed four Palestinians in the West Bank, including a fighter with the Islamic Jihad resistance movement.
Late October, the United Nations special coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, warned “2022 is on course to be the deadliest year for Palestinians in the West Bank since the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs began systematically tracking Palestinian fatalities in 2005.”
On Monday, Zionist troops detained nearly 20 Palestinians in a wide-scale arrest campaign in several areas across the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds.
The troops arrested eight people after storming the al-Aroub refugee camp in the West Bank province of Al-Khalil.
Two other Palestinians were also detained in Beit Kahil and Beit Ummar in Al-Khalil.
Five of the arrests were made in the provinces of Jenin, Qalqilya, Tubas, and Ramallah.
Balata Brigade said in a statement that its fighters spotted the Zionist troops infiltrating a camp and fired a barrage of bullets at them.
