Anti-War ‘Barana’ Takes Part at Courage Festival
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- The 2022 Courage Film Festival in Berlin is set to play host to Iranian short film ‘Barana’.
Shahin Zavar’s ‘Barana’ will make its international debut at the short film competition section of the German screening event.
Produced by Sam Farrokhzad and penned by Fatima Abahamzeh, ‘Barana’ is themed upon world peace. It is an anti-war story of an Afghan immigrant family who lives in a riding club.
The short film has already been accepted in the Bangladesh Short Film Festival and is preparing to participate in other global film festivals as well.
The Courage Film Festival looks for stories that “spark discussions and debates and are the protagonists for positive change and development in the world,” writes the online submission platform of the event.
The festival covers topics such as immigration, the environment, family, mental health, disability, etc.
The upcoming edition of the festival is due on November 3-17, 2022.
