TEHRAN (Honaronline) –The Iranian film, ‘Mama the Breadwinner,’ directed by Meysam Shamsi, is slated to participate in two festivals in Bulgaria and Egypt.

The film will be screened at the 9th Sofia Biting Docs and the 8th Edition of Alexandria Short Film Festival, which are to be held on October 19 and 29, respec.
The documentary is a story about the life of a mother who takes care of her orphaned children by baking bread and has also created employment.
The Sofia Biting Docs presents a selection of documentary films, going into topics such as human rights, environmental problems, discrimination, disrespect for diversities, integration of minority groups – on the face of it, seemingly overexploited, but actually topical, issues of key importance for the society, raising discussions and arguments.
The festival focuses on all kinds of curious people, shot in documentary cinema. It is fixed on stories, aiming to inform, meant to provoke, putting forward questions, intended to be debated.
The 8th edition of Alexandria Short Film Festival is expected to receive great attention from short filmmakers around the world.
Specializing in short films, the festival annually witnesses a large audience representing a platform for various Arab talents to exchange cinematic culture between film lovers and filmmakers.
