Acclaimed Film Takes Part at Greek Event

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short flick ‘Middle Eastern Stories: Father’ has been set to go on screen at the Chania Film Festival in Greece.
Written and directed by Reza Daghagh, the 18-minute film will be shown at the main competition program of the 10th edition of the Greek event.
“A father decides to take his newborn son away from the war-stricken country. He hides in a container to flee across the border with other refugees. The goal seems increasingly difficult to achieve due to unexpected events,” a brief synopsis for the flick reads.
Behzad Khalaj, Mehrnoush Sattari, Amir Sotoudeh, Ali Gilvari, Nima Abedi, Nazanin Ramezani and Katia Yari comprise the cast list of the short film.
‘Middle Eastern Stories: Father’ has already hit the screen at a number of global events, including the River Film Festival and the Ischia Film Fest, both in Italy.
The Chania Film Festival is designed and organized by the AMKE “Cultural Society of Crete”, which was founded in 2002 “with the aim of cultivating and promoting cultural, educational, informational, artistic and related publishing activities”, website of the event reads.
The 10th edition of the festival is slated for October 19-30, 2022.
