IME Weekly Trade Exceeds 2.3mn Tonnes
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 2,344,527 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of nearly $521 million were traded on its physical market in the last week.
The IME’s report said that on its metals and minerals trading floor trade, over 1,772,000 tonnes of commodities, including 1,135,950 tonnes of cement, 135,000 tonnes of iron ore, 265,715 tonnes of steel, 83,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 13,450 tonnes of zinc, 14,150 tonnes of aluminum, 12,738 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 17 kg of gold bars and 50 truck with total value of $271 million were traded in IME’s domestic and exporting halls in the last week.
And also the report added that over 511,980 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities, including 95,050 tonnes of polymeric products, 148,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 50,000 tonnes of lube cut, 34,522 tonnes of chemicals, 16,700 tonnes of sulfur, 3,750 tonnes of base oil, 575 tonnes of insulation, 2,000 tonnes of slops wax and 159,083 tonnes of bitumen wit total value of $245 million were traded.
The IME also traded within the same week 59,643 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
