Acclaimed Animation Competes at Spanish Event
TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short animation ‘The Past’ has has been on screen at the Girona Film Festival in Spain.
Directed by Hamid Mohammadi, the short flick that took 5 years to be produced is on screen at the main competition program of the Spanish fest’s 34th edition.
A brief synopsis for 7-minute ‘The Past’ reads, “an author finds himself unable to write for the threats that he has received. He eventually comes over all his fears and starts to write”.
The short has already taken part in the International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults in Iran.
The Girona Film Festival aims to give room to emerging filmmaking talents to flourish. The event will host around 400 films, including features, shorts, documentaries and animations.
This year’s edition of the event is slated for November 8-13.
