Tehran, Damascus Broaden Cultural Ties
TEHRAN (IRNA) – A cultural cooperation document was inked on Wednesday between officials from Iran and Syria.
Head of Iran’s Islamic Culture and Communication Organization Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour, who is on a visit to Damascus, signed the document on the Iranian side during a meeting with Syrian Minister of Culture Lubanah Mshaweh.
The document includes cooperation on cinema, theater and music production, as well as translation of books and joint cooperation on archeology.
Under the terms of the document, the two sides are also expected to hold Persian language courses in Syria as well as Arabic language courses in Iran.
