Jacksonville Festival Screens Iran’s ‘Katvoman’

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short flick ‘Katvoman’ has made its way to the Jacksonville Film Festival (JFF) in the U.S.
The film directed by Hadi Sheibani, the film will represent Iran at the 2023 edition of the event.
Also written by Sheibani, the short film is inspired by the character of Catwoman.
“Katvoman has become weak to the extent that she cannot save people anymore,” a synopsis for the film reads.
‘Katvoman’ received its world premiere at the 20th Molise Cinema Film Festival in Italy.
Founded in 2002, the mission of the JFF is to “celebrate motion pictures by discovering and showcasing new talents to rejuvenate the film industry by creating an atmosphere that immerses the filmmakers with their audience and community.”
The festival is an opportunity for filmmakers to be recognized for their cinematic achievements while creating an event to reward the best works submitted to the festival.
The 15th edition of the event is scheduled for February 3-5, 2023.
