Noted Filmmaker Joins Red Rock Festival
TEHRAN (IP) - Hassan Najmabadi, an Iranian filmmaker, has been selected as a jury member at the 16th Red Rock International Festival in the U.S.
Najmabadi is well-known for writing and directing short films. He has directed several short films such as ‘Peace,’ ‘Copper Wire,’ ‘Ant,’ ‘77 Years of Solitude,’ ‘Red Season,’ ‘Into the Rainbow,’ ‘White Season,’ and ‘Aparat,’ and won several international awards.
In 2019, he was among the jury members of the same Indian festival.
He was a member of the jury panel of the 15th Cyprus International Film Festival, the 14th Red Rock Film Festival in the U.S., the 11th Bridges International Film Festival, and the U.S. 7th Blackbird Film Festival.
He was also the judge of the Jaipur festival in India in 2019 and 2022.
Previously, in 2020, he was a member of the selection committee of the 15th Cyprus Festival and the 11th Bridges Festival in Greece.
In 2021, Najmabadi was one of the judges of the 7th American Black Bird Festival.
Red Rock International Film Festival (Red Rock) was established in 2007 in southern Utah. In 2009 and 2013, this festival was included in the list of the best festivals worth entering by MovieMaker magazine.
This festival accepts films in two categories, feature films and short films, in all genres, which aim to produce films in the independent and professional market.
The Utah Film Market in the U.S. is also a tiny part of the festival, where filmmakers and other industry professionals can view films on their own in the festival library or at special industry screenings for finalists and other festival honorees.
The 16th Red Rock International Festival will be held from October 10 to 15 in the state of Utah, U.S.A.
