Highly Praised Animation Scoops More Awards

TEHRAN (IRNA) – ‘Sprayer’ directed by Iranian director Farnoosh Abedi has grasped two awards at the Wild Indie Sci-Fi & Fantasy Film Festival 2022 in Britain.
The nine-minute animated movie has won two awards for the best short animated film and the best poster at the thirds Science Fiction Fantasy Film Festival in this event.
The festival’s screenings and awards ceremony were done at the Greenwich Odeon Theatre, London, the UK on September 10th, 2022.
Iran’s Intellectual Development of Child and Adolescent sponsored the production of the short animated film, which could gain several prizes on different occasions.
The Sprayer won awards in several film festivals in the US, Prague in the Czech Republic, Sydney in Australia, Italy, the Dominican Republic, and South Korea.
The Wild Indie Sci-Fi & Fantasy Film Festival is an international cultural and artistic event to review and select movies in different categories, such as comedy, children, and poster.
The Sprayer animated movie is the latest product by the cinematic department of the Intellectual Development of Child and Adolescent, which narrates a story of a land, where cultivation of any kind of flower and plant is forbidden and an army dubbed “Sprayer” is tasked with hunting those who grow plants.
The story happens in a sci-fi atmosphere dystopic atmosphere, in which a soldier changes his path when he becomes familiar with a tiny plant.
