Iran Applauds Turkey’s Persian Language Professors
TEHRAN (IP) - A ceremony to honor Persian language professors of Turkish universities and the Saadi Foundation was held in the presence of Iran’s Ambassador to Ankara.
Saadi Foundation is one of the oldest Persian language centers in the world accepting language learners from around the world.
Nearly one thousand Persian language learners are studying for BA, MA, and Ph.D. at Turkish higher education centers.
Iran’s Ambassador to Ankara Hossein Farzamand said in the ceremony that the movement of learning the Persian language and literature have gotten started in Turkey, and it would brightly elevate in the near future.
At the ceremony, Shahryar International Festival’s special reward went to Ali Temizel, a professor at Selcuk University of Konya.
Temizel said: “Interest in Persian language in Turkey and the establishment of Persian language groups in the Turkish universities is increasing.”
