Bulgarian Event Screens Iran’s Social Drama

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- The Love Is Folly International Film Festival in Bulgaria has been set to screen Iranian ‘The Inheritance’.
Iranian media reports said ‘The Inheritance’ (Mordehkhor) by Sadeq Sadeq-Daqiqi will take part in the 30th edition of the festival.
The film addresses the issue of guardianship. It is about a teenager whose uncles became his guardians after the death of his father.
‘The Inheritance’, a social drama, features Sam Derakhshani, Ladan Mostofi, Ahmad Mehranfar and Linda Kiani.
Earlier reports said ‘Sea Boys’ by Afshin Hashemi will also be screened at the Bulgarian event.
Established in 1993, the International Film Festival “Love is Folly” is the “doyenne” of the international film festivals in Bulgaria, according to website of the event.
The festival, “led by the ambition to broadcast the latest productions in the world of the seventh art, annually presents more than 90 films from both the Bulgarian and world film list”.
The upcoming edition of “Love is folly” will kick off on August 26 and run until September 4.
