Tehran, Moscow Expand Cinematic Ties

TEHRAN (IRNA) – Iran and Russia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the expansion of cinematic relations on Tuesday.
The Memorandum of Understanding on the expansion of cinematic ties between the Ministry of Culture of Iran and Russia was signed by Director of the Cinema Organization of Iran Mohammad Khazaei and Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova on Tuesday.
Referring to the signing of the MoU for the expansion of cinematic ties between Iran and Russia, Iran’s cultural attaché to Russia Masoud Ahmadvand said that with the coordination made, in today’s meeting on Tuesday, August 16, deputy ministers of culture of Iran and Russia inked a memorandum of understanding on the development of cinematic relations, co-production and screening of cinematic works.
He noted that in an official invitation of Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova, a delegation from Iran’s cinema organization will discuss the expansion of the two countries’ interactions in the field of film and cinema with the government institutions and the Russian private sector during a three-day visit to Moscow.
Signing the MoU between the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in the field of expanding the relations between the two countries in the field of cinema, signing the MoU between the Iranian Cinema Organization and Moscow Cinema University, as well as signing MoU between the Farabi Cinema Foundation and the Russian Kino Institute are among the plans for this trip.
