Kuwait Reappoints Oil, Finance Ministers in New Cabinet
KUWAIT (Reuters) – Kuwait reappointed Oil Minister Mohammed al-Fares and Finance Minister Abdul Wahab al-Rasheed in a new cabinet formed on Monday, said state news agency KUNA. The outgoing government had resigned in April in a long-running standoff with the elected parliament. The new decree also announced the appointment of Talal Khaled al-Ahmad al-Sabah as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior. Among those appointed were Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed al-Sabah as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dr. Khaled Mahous Suleiman al-Saeed as Minister of Health.
