IME Posts Trade Records on Value, Volume
TEHRAN –The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Sunday reported that over 2,062,224 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of $437 million were traded on its domestic and exporting halls in the last week, logging growths of 8% and 6% in volume and value respectively.
The IME’s report said that, over 1,632,000 tonnes of metal and mineral commodities including 946,234 tonnes of cement, 391,000 tonnes of iron ore, 202,617 tonnes of steel, 31,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 30,000 tonnes of cast iron, 15,545 tonnes of zinc, 8,025 tonnes of aluminum, 8,015 tonnes of copper, 100 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 7 kg of gold bars with total value of $232 million were traded in its trading halls.
And also on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor, over 424,839 tonnes of commodities including, 79,749 tonnes of polymeric products, 10,800 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 25,500 tonnes of lube cut, 26,292 tonnes of chemicals, 25,700 tonnes of sulfur, 3,652 tonnes of base oil, 225 tonnes of insulation and 154,732 tonnes of bitumen with total value of $199 million were traded in the last week.
The IME also traded within the same week 5,343 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
