TASHKENT – Amir Hussein Ghorbani and Ilia Salehipour won two medals at the 2022 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships underway in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Ghorbani seized a silver in the 81kg weight category with a total lift of 306kg.
He came first in snatch with 141kg and lifted 165kg in clean and jerk.
His countryman Salehipour won a bronze by lifting 305kg in total. He lifted 134kg in snatch and 171kg in clean and jerk.
Kazakhstan’s Denis Poluboyarinov clinched the gold with 313kg in total.
