Italy Hosts ‘Middle Eastern Stories: Father’

Iranian short flick ‘Middle Eastern Stories: Father’ has been going on screen at the Ischia Film Fest in Italy.
Written and directed by Reza Daghagh, the 18-minute film is competing at the 20th edition of the Italian event.
“A father decides to take his newborn son away from the war-stricken country. He hides in a container to flee across the border with other refugees. The goal seems increasingly difficult to achieve due to unexpected events,” a brief synopsis for the flick reads.
Behzad Khalaj, Mehrnoush Sattari, Amir Sotoudeh, Ali Gilvari, Nima Abedi, Nazanin Ramezani and Katia Yari comprise the cast members of the short film.
‘Middle Eastern Stories: Father’ is also currently on screen at the River Film Festival in Italy.
The Ischia Film Festival is the most popular summer film event in the world with Italian and international screenings, attended top performers in the entertainment and communications industries.
The current edition of the festival started on June 25 and will wrap up on July 2.
