FMs of Iran, Turkey Hold Phone Talks
TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian on Sunday assured his Turkish counterpart of Tehran’s determination to strengthen relations with Ankara through closer consultations with the neighboring state. In a telephone conversation with Mevlut Cavusoglu, the top Iranian diplomat underlined Tehran’s determination to develop ties with Ankara. Cavusoglu expressed hope that constant contacts between Turkish and Iranian officials would strengthen the bilateral relations and promote cooperation between the two states. Amir-Abdollahian was scheduled to visit Turkey in early June, but his trip has been postponed.
