Bakhtiar Takes Two Medals at 2022 Asia Oceania Open Championships

TEHRAN – Iranian power-lifter Mohsen Bakhtiar seized two medals at the 2022 Asia Oceania Open Para Championships on Thursday.
In the Men’s Up to 59kg, the Iranian lifted 185kg and won the gold medal above Herbert Aceituno and Chinese Qi Yongkai.
He also won a silver medal with a total lift of 543kg.
The gold medal went to Aceituno in total.
Seyed Hamed Solhipour claimed two gold medals in the up to 97 kg on Wednesday.
The Pyeongtaek 2022 Asia Oceania Open Championships are taking place on June 15-20 in South Korea. The event showcases 231 athletes from 33 countries across the six days of competition.
It’s the first of four Regional Championships in the 2022 Para powerlifting season followed by the Americas, Africa, and European Open Championships.
