Egypt Imports Record Volume of Gas From Occupied Palestine
CAIRO (MEMO) – Egypt has made a new record high in gas imports from the Israeli-occupied territories in the first quarter of the year. According to the weekly newsletter by the Middle East Economic Survey (MEES), Cairo imported 720 million cubic feet per day from the Zionist regime in March, equivalent to over 20 million cubic meters per day. The report added that Egypt also accounted for an all-time high – 26.5 per cent – of the regime’s gas output during the same period. The development is the latest sign of growing cooperation between the occupying regime and Cairo, although Egyptians have condemned the move.
