Top-Rated Documentary Granted Don Quixote Award in Poland

Iranian documentary ‘Parizad’ has grabbed Don Quixote Award at the 62nd edition of the Krakow Film Festival in Poland.
Directed by Mehdi Imani-Shahmiri, ‘Parizad’ has a narrative framed around one of the handicrafts of Chashm Village in Iran’s Semnan Province.
The film is about a lonely rural woman who weaves Golich. She shares information about the role of Golich in the daily life of the village residents and legends about her homeland.
‘Parizad’ has already been screened at a number of global events, including the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival in the U.S. and the Festival of Nations in Australia, where it won the best documentary award.
According to the official website of the festival, the “Krakow Film Festival is one of the oldest events in the world dedicated to documentary, animated and short feature films”.
The Polish festival was held on May 29-June 5.
