IME Weekly Trade Exceeds $520 Million
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Sunday reported that over 2,090,000 tonnes of commodities with a total value of $523 million were traded on its physical and exporting markets in the last week.
The IME’s report said that over 1,814,000 tonnes of metal and mineral commodities including 1,323,955 tonnes of cement, 201,000 tonnes of iron ore, 194,559 tonnes of steel, 54,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 10,250 tonnes of aluminum, 7,700 tonnes of copper, 500 tonnes of coke, 60 tonnes of lead, 25,290 tonnes of zinc, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 30 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 21 kg of gold bars with total value of $287 million were traded in trading halls.
The report added, over 258,863 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities including 57,568 tonnes of bitumen, 35,000 tonnes of lube cut, 29,300 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 36,790 tonnes of chemicals, 1,570 tonnes of sulfur, 4,807 tonnes of base oil and 180 tonnes of argon with total value of $228 million were traded in the IME’s trading halls.
It’s worth noting that the IME’s automobile trading floor sold 36 Cara Sedan automobiles.
Last but not least was the IME’s side market with 17,457 tonnes of commodities traded on it.
