TEHRAN (IMNA) -- The global registration of the cultural and historical axis of Isfahan is one of the big steps forward that is being taken with the full involvement of the Municipality and the cooperation of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization, the director of Isfahan Municipality’s Renovation and Improvement Department has said.
“This is a very arduous task and tedious project that will take several years; however, we hope it will be inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List,” Muhammad-Ali Izadkhasti said.
Emphasizing that the Municipality of Isfahan pays special attention to historical textures in the new period of urban management, Izadkhasti said, “The Municipality considers the historical context as one of the great capitals of the city. In this regard, major policies have been defined, and great things are happening at the moment.”
