Azerbaijan Welcomes Iranian Companies in Karabakh Rebuilding

TEHRAN – The foreign
minister of Azerbaijan has welcomed Iranian companies in the reconstruction of Karabakh liberated during a 44-day war with Armenia last year.
In a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Saturday night, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed Azerbaijan’s readiness for continued diplomatic visits and expansion of political relations with Iran at all levels.
Pointing to the close and unshakable relations between Baku and Tehran, Bayramov described participation of Iranian companies in the reconstruction of Karabakh as a major step toward this goal.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian hailed important agreements signed by the presidents of Iran and Azerbaijan over the past months, saying the full implementation of the contracts is on the agenda.
He also referred to the fruitful results of the most recent meeting of the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission in Baku, calling it a major progress in promotion of mutual relations.
The two senior diplomats further stressed the need to maintain regional and international cooperation between the two neighbors and protect their relations from plots hatched by their common enemies.
