Dancing With Rainbow Shortlisted for Italian Film Festival
TEHRAN -- Iranian documentary ‘Dancing with Rainbow’ has been selected to compete at the 11th edition of the Tracce Cinematografiche Film Fest in Italy.
Directed by Hassan Mokhtari, the documentary depicts the life of a young girl, in Mianeh county of Iran’s East Azarbaijan province, whose painting skill makes her city beautiful.
Also written and produced by Mokhtari, the documentary has previously garnered the second-best short documentary award at the Calcasieu Parish Film Festival in the U.S. and participated in the Mister Vorky Film Festival in Serbia.
The Tracce Cinematografiche Film Fest hosts films from around the world and screens short films up to 16 minutes.
The 2022 edition of the event will be held on June 27-July 3.
Meanwhile, Iranian documentary ‘The Fabric’ has been selected to compete at the 14th edition of the Seoul International Senior Film Festival (SISFF) in South Korea.
Directed by Iman Behrouzi, the documentary is narrated from the point of view of a dormitory resident in a coronavirus lock-down situation.
Co-produced by Iran and Germany, the documentary has participated in several international events, including the Laceno D’oro International Film Festival in Italy and the Parnu International Documentary Film Festival in Estonia.
According to the official website of the SISFF, “it provides fresh insights on generations, relationships, and the complexity of senior life by connecting different perspectives from various countries”.
The upcoming edition of the event is scheduled for May 19-23, 2022.
