Nicaragua Exits US-Dominated Diabolical Bloc

“A diabolical instrument of evil” is the description of the Organization of American States (OAS) by Nicaragua, which last Sunday announced its withdrawal form this US-dominated body for its unwarranted meddling in the affairs of Latin American countries.
Nicaragua thus became the second Spanish-speaking republic to leave the OAS following Venezuela’s withdrawal in 2020, citing more or less the same reasons because of Washington’s using of this regional bloc as a cover to undermine independent countries and if possible overthrow their elected governments.
The domineering approach of the US and its plundering of their resources is resented by most of the 34 OAS member states, and analysts speak of more Latin American states leaving this dubious body, which is notorious for its unfair and unjust attitude towards the Hispanics.
In spite of protests by the OAS which claims that Nicaragua cannot formally complete its withdrawal till another year, the office of this bloc has been officially closed in Managua and its staff expelled.
It should be recalled that last November President Daniel Ortega had already announced Nicaragua’s decision to withdraw and its implementation now after almost six months of having served the necessary notice, makes the protests of this US-manipulated bloc invalid.
On Sunday, Foreign Minister Denis Moncada announced the break from the OAS, saying: “Nicaragua was no longer part of all the deceitful mechanisms of this monstrosity, the so-called Permanent Council, so-called commissions, so-called meetings, so-called Summit of the Americas”.
He added: “We will not take part in any of the entities of this diabolical instrument of evil called the OAS.”
Venezuela hailed Nicaragua’s resignation as “courageous”, calling the OAS “an instrument of US imperialism”.
Speculations are rife that with the steady rise of anti-US sentiments in Central and South America and the coming to power of nationalist governments through elections in most countries, more withdrawals from the OAS are expected in the coming years.
The US has a bleak, black and bloody record of blatant meddling in the affairs of Latin American countries by hatching coups to overthrow popularly elected governments, supporting dictatorial regimes to indulge in blatant violation of human rights that include disappearance, detention, torture, murder, and at times mass massacres of opponents, and resorting to economic terrorism in the form of sanctions.
Like its crimes in other parts of the world, the US is responsible for the death of millions of people in South and Central America, and the destruction of the economies of Latin American states, which of late have also been burdened with the undesirable influx of Israelis and their purchase by Zionist terrorists of vast chunks of lands with the money provided by Washington through fleecing of the North American tax payers, to set up secret laboratories for experimenting biological, chemical, and other weapons of mass destruction.
