Report: Over $2bn Traded on IME in a Month
TEHRAN - The Iran Mercantile Exchange on Monday reported that over 7,231,000 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than $2.378 billion were traded in its physical market within the month ending on April 20th 2022.
The IME’s report said that, on its oil and petrochemical trading halls, over 1,372,000 tonnes of commodities including, 412,800 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 335,276 tonnes of bitumen, 312,673 tonnes of polymeric products, 141,990 tonnes of lube cut, 132,265 tonnes of chemicals, 20,695 tonnes of sulfur, 14,594 tonnes of oil, 330 tonnes of argon, 300 tonnes of insulation and 200 tonnes of slops wax with total value of $985 million were traded in its exporting halls in the last month.
It also added, over 5,748,000 tonnes of metals and minerals commodities including 4,029,000 tonnes of cement, 1,024,000 tonnes of steel, 353,000 tonnes of iron ore, 260,500 tonnes of sponge iron, 55,400 tonnes of aluminum, 26,500 of zinc, 28,200 tonnes of copper, 450 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 450 tonnes of coke, 700 tonnes of lead, 48 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 49 kg of gold bars with totak value of $1.342 billion were traded in IME’s trading halls.
Last was the IME’s side market on which the exchange traded 110,781 tonnes commodities.
